Cork!, $25
Not be confused with our own Verdelho, this crisp and fresh, dry Spanish white wine has a flavour profile closer to Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc than anything else.Very light green colour, the nose has lime, pear and lightly floral spicy aromatics, the palate similarly fresh and lightly pear flavoured with excellent citrus freshness and a real purity of fruit. After a while in the glass it gets just a little fat and dull, which I think comes courtesy of the cork seal, but the acidity is still clean & fresh. You could easily add on another point for drinkability here. 16.7
