I think every Nebbiolo fan gets a little excited by the prospect of a Nebbiolo rosé, with the notion that such a noble grape can be made into something pink and fun – yet still interesting – akin to finding the summer time drinking holy grail. This Longview is a pretty reliable example of the genre too.
Pale orange colour, lightly sweet initially yet also with a Nebbiolo ferrousness that is attractive. Palate too is dry and quite long with pert (but natural) acidity and some nice meatiness. It fades a little to finish, but still the savoury line and Nebbioloness carries the wine nicely.
Solid and reasonably satisfying, if not quite groundbreaking.

Would I buy it? A half bottle prospect.
