Still more satisfaction in Margaret River Sauv Sem styles than straight Sauv. Yet the single varietal wine sells more. Ugh..
Green straw coloured, this is slightly muted to start before a little Sauv herb kicks in. Palate varies between crunchy green citrus and riper passionfruit before slightly gritty, sharper acidity.
This has flow, if not quite perfectly together – acid hasn’t integrated yet. Still entirely drinkable and varietal (and refreshing), with some welcome textural breadth (I’m guessing a little barrel work here to help with that). Best drinking: 2016-2017. 17/20, 90/100. 13%, $25.
