Plenty of flavour in the Samuels Gorge range, with this Temp. delivering much at refreshingly low alcohol. This spends 10 months in largely older French oak with 10% whole bunches in the mix. Medium bodied and surprisingly tannic. Core of dark berry fruit that descends into dark firm tannins and glacé flavour, despite the moderate alcohol. Nice berry core, good shape too and firm finish. No alarms, just a good solid and quite grippy red. Best drinkin: now to ten plus years. 17.5/20, 91/100. 13%, $40. Would I buy it? Worth a few glasses.
