I rather like these Mount Monument wines. Please, small Macedon Ranges producers, send me all of your delicious wares. This Mount Monument Pinot Noir 2018 is a big wine for Macedon too, which is always a surprise. The vineyard itself is owned by Melbourne architect Nonda Katsalidis.
Stewed rhubarb, raspberry, cooked eggplant and a whiff of pepper. It’s a big wine, but not bulky. Like. It’s just a little bit raw to finish, but that’s the trade-off for a welcome dose of ripe fruit. Good, fuller-flavoured Pinot. Best drinking: I like it now. 18/20, 93/100. 14%,$45. Mount Monument website. Would I buy it? Well worth a few glasses.

Beautiful label art here, especially if a Marvel fan.
On a tangent, great write up in the GT wine cellar doors feature.
Thoroughly enjoyed your parts.
We are so lucky to have the cellar door culture we do in Oz.
Cheers Travis. Totally agree on the cellar door culture in Oz – there are few places in the world where you can just rock up and taste glorious wines, typically for free.
