A soft, slurpable, likeable and rather classic big brand Barossa red is this Orlando Printz Shed Northern Barossa Shiraz 2018. And great to see the use of Orlando too!
Good to see this as I have fallen off the Pernod Ricard sample circuit of late (which happens every few years when a big company does a PR shake-up. Then the wines come flooding back).
Reminds me of old school St Hallett reds (which must be a fruit source thing) with its expansive of soft, round and plush plum fruit, minimal tannin, and plump flavour. Lots of Barossan charisma with this Orlando red, even if it’s a little obvious.
Orlando Printz Shed Northern Barossa Shiraz 2018. Best drinking: now and for the next decade. 17.5/20, 91/100. 14%, $35. Orlando website. Would I buy it? A glass or two.
